Who is an Usher/Host/Hostess?
An usher is someone who acts as an escort. The word is
derived from the Latin word Ostium
meaning door. From the root word we can fully associate ushering with
hospitality.
An usher at an event is a symbol of HOSPITALITY,
this forms the

event

Welcoming Guests

As it is the practice these days, a large percentage of guests make there way straight to the reception, its our responsibility to ensure seating arrangements are well coordinated.
BETushers
help guests find their seats in a timely fashion. They escort important
personalities and guests with reserved seats to their specific seats,
they also ensure reserved seats are kept till the appropriate guests
occupy them.
Guest Relations
At BETushers we pay utmost attention to the well-being of guests at events, with our 1usher:50guests principle, we ensure every guest enjoys a royal treatment for gracing
the event. We owe it a duty to ensure we work hand in hand with all
service vendors to ensure every guest is well catered for especially food
and drinks.
BETushers are Guest Relations Officers at
events, they attend to all guests' needs and are solution providers to
all event issues. They are trained to remain calm, courteous and
cheerful irrespective of any situation faced.
They
pass out event booklets, menu cards, souvenirs and answer questions
relating to the event, like schedules, rest room location, gift corner
etc.
Orderliness
BETushers
help to maintain orderliness and calm at events as our ushers are
trained to professionally address any issue that might want to cause
rowdiness, noise or loitering at events.
Rules Enforcement
BETushers are always at events at least an hour before the event to ensure all is set and more
importantly familiarize with the rules and regulation of the event
space. They are responsible for enforcing such rules and regulations as
regards the guests before, during and after the event. Some important
rules also come from the client or organizers of the event, it is the responsibility of BETushers to pass them on politely at all times.
Other Duties
Apart
from the aforementioned duties, BETushers are ready to carry out other
tasks that are directed towards making the event run smoothly.
